In this week’s challenge let’s explore the very important concept of Receptivity.
Bob and I hear from many people that the Law of Receptivity is the most difficult of the Five Laws for them to get their arms around.
One of the great lesson’s from Wallace D. Wattles 1910 classic, “The Science of Getting Rich” was the idea of giving your customers more in value than you took (received) from them in payment.
As you may know, I loved the book, Traction: Get a Grip on Your Business by Gino Wickman. Gino is the creator of “EOS” which stands for Entrepreneurial Operating System.
A great friend and colleague of mine, Bruce Van Horne (RIP) posted the following wonderful quote:
A while back I read a tweet (now that the platform is called X these are now referred to as posts) and it sparked a powerful idea!
Here’s the interesting thing. I don’t necessarily always agree with the person who posted. Okay, actually I rarely agree (and often greatly disagree) with the person.
We often speak about the difference between “persuasion” and “manipulation.”
I call them these two the twins of influence; persuasion being the “good twin” and manipulation being the “evil twin.”
Recently saw a person’s Twitter (now X) profile that said:
Still trying to find logic in this chaotic world.
In one of his recent daily Leadership posts, this one titled, Simple Practices That Will Change Your Life, our own Dan Rockwell (a/k/a LeadershipFreak) wrote the following (between the lines):
We’ve all heard the saying, “F.E.A.R. is simply false evidence appearing real.”
Maybe. Let’s even say, most of the time.
But not always.
